The result - since only one answer was received, that one is the de facto winner:

"A Wednesday night chicken korma (approximately half a portion) 15mm deep nestling on a bed of basmati rice!"

The correct answer is that it's a Stone Fish, at about 1.5 metres deep on a Maldavian reef. If you can't see the fish, click here for a clue.
